What are Playshops?
This is a time for us to come together once a month and practice self-care. The work we do can take an emotional toll and can lead to burn out. Our work is beautiful, messy, vulnerable and one that requires a supportive community in order to provide the best care. By working towards healing ourselves, we can touch the lives of others in extraordinary ways. These sessions are fun, process focused, and are geared towards alleviating the risk of burn out.
What is the structure of a Playshop?
Each session will include a combination of play, meditation, self-exploration, radical self-acceptance, as well as an exploration of countertransference and other causes of burn out. Through play, the creative side of ourselves will emerge presenting new ways to solve old problems effortlessly.

Why should I attend?
As caregivers, we can sometimes feel more comfortable giving nurture and care rather than receiving it. We can find it difficult to reach out for help and sometimes feel an internal pressure to have the "right" answers and always be the container for the pain of others. This is a space for you to receive care, meet your own emotional needs, and have fun. By doing so, we can bring more joy into our lives every day as well as the lives of those we serve.
The Playshops take place at Sage Recovery Center. Please wear comfortable clothes and register below. Snacks will be provided as well as a small gift for every participant. Lastly, I will be emailing each participant a brief survey to learn more about you.
